Peanut Butter Making Machine Suppliers and Manufacturers

Peanut butter machine gear common faults and solutions

Gear as the core component of peanut butter machine, once a failure occurs, often directly affect the normal operation of the machine or even lead to shutdown. For this reason, we summarize the common types of peanut butter machine gear failure and its corresponding solutions, designed to provide reference and help for the majority of users.

Common failures in peanut butter machine gear transmission include:

  • Pitting. In continuous operation, fatigue cracks occur on the gear surface due to frequent changes in external forces, followed by the shedding of fine metal particles, forming pits similar to raindrops, i.e., the phenomenon of pitting. This usually stems from insufficient gear material hardness. The solution is to enhance the hardness of the gear material to strengthen its fatigue resistance.
  • Wear. When impurities invade the gear meshing surface or the lubricant is not clean, the gear surface is prone to wear. Unless the gear structure is completely sealed, wear is difficult to avoid. Severe wear will lead to increased noise, and even trigger gear fracture under heavy load. In order to reduce wear, gear hardness and surface smoothness should be improved, and the use of high-quality lubricant.
  • Fracture. Fracture is mostly due to excessive impact, gear material strength or brittleness is too high (such as cast iron) caused by overloading is also a common cause of fracture. The solution is to choose the best quality, sufficient strength of the gear material, and avoid overloading.
  • Deformation. In the low-speed heavy load conditions, soft gear due to excessive friction and plastic deformation. When the friction exceeds the yield strength of the gear, deformation will occur. In order to prevent deformation, should improve the gear hardness, and the use of high-viscosity lubricants to reduce friction.
  • Gluing. Heavy-duty transmission, the temperature between the two gears, once the lubricant film is destroyed, the gear teeth will be in direct contact, the formation of adhesion marks or tears, that is, gluing phenomenon. Low-speed heavy-duty transmission, due to the slower speed, the oil film is difficult to form, also prone to gluing. In order to prevent gluing, should be used in low-speed transmission of high-viscosity lubricants, and enhance the gear hardness.

In summary, we have listed five common failures of peanut butter machine gears and their solutions. If you encounter other problems or unsolvable faults in the process of using peanut butter machine, please feel free to contact us!
